How we handle your details.
Last updated: 2026-05-04
1. Who we are
This site is operated by Rajneesh Kambhatla, an individual based in Melbourne, Australia. To contact me about anything in this policy, email rk@rajneeshkambhatla.com.
2. What personal information we collect
The thesis-download form collects: name, email address, role, organisation, an optional free-text response to "what brought you here", and an optional opt-in flag for future contact. The server-side request also records: a timestamp, the country code derived from your IP address (we don't store the IP itself), and a truncated User-Agent string.
3. Why we collect it
To deliver the thesis you requested. If you opted into future contact, also to email you when substantial new sections of the thesis are published — at most a few times a year.
4. Where it is stored
Submissions are stored in Cloudflare D1, with the primary region pinned to Asia-Pacific. Cloudflare, Inc. acts as the data processor.
5. Who else sees it
Outbound email is delivered by Resend, Inc. (United States). Resend processes your name and email address solely to deliver the message; the message itself contains a link to the thesis PDF. No other third party sees any of your details.
6. Cross-border disclosure (Australian Privacy Principle 8)
Cloudflare's services and Resend's services are operated in part from outside Australia. By submitting the form, you consent to the disclosure of the personal information described above to Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) and Resend, Inc. (United States). I do not transfer your details to any other recipient.
7. Retention
Submissions are kept indefinitely unless you ask for them to be deleted. There is no automatic purge.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information I hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email rk@rajneeshkambhatla.com. I will respond within 30 days.
9. Notifiable Data Breach scheme
If a breach of this data is likely to result in serious harm, I will notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) and any affected individuals as required by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
10. Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Cloudflare may set short-lived cookies as part of its DDoS-protection layer; that is the only client-side state.
11. Updates to this policy
The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent material change. If you have opted into future contact, I will notify you of material changes by email.
